Kiridashi Day 2024
Every year for the last three years we have visited Martin Huber at his workshop in Styer, Austria. Mainly a social visit simply to have a little fun and forge a few knives. As a tradition we have always forged a Kiridashi, and this year we decided to produce a batch of four. One each for the two of us and another two to make available to fans of Modern Cooking and his YouTube channel @MartinHuber_Knives.
For those who dont know what a Kiridashi is, its a marking knife for woodworking and other craft. Used for scoring and marking. A single bevel blade that can be made razor sharp. These two are made with 80CrV2 with a nickel inlay, textured grip and copper pins.
