When it comes to a Brook Turner blade its performance first design all the way. Brooks knives tend to feature geometry that is inspired by the Japanese style. So, on this classic Wa style Gyuto we find a thin blade, 3mm and less, subtly tapered, relatively low blade height and a classic profile. These knives are a pleasure to use, its the type of cutting experience were you forget about the knife as it falls into the background reliably doing its job without fail.
Brook has developed a signature style that centres around premium steels, house forged laminates and incredible, exotic woods, often sourced from him home country Australia. On this knife we have a beautiful wrought iron clad 26c3 blade. A lovely satin polish completed on whetstones, and brute de forge at the spine complete this simple classic. The handle, a classic octagonal hidden tang in Tasmanian Blackwood.
Brook is an extremely talented craftsman, his work features an unquestionably high standard of fit and finish. This is the kind of knife that is an absolute delight to work with and looks incredible.

Product Care
Product Care
Cleaning: Clean by hand with warm water. Avoid wetting the handle when possible.
Sharpening: We advise using whetstones to sharpen your knives and a honing rod or steel to maintain the burr between sharpening sessions.
Reactive Steels: Reactive steels like Aogami Super, Apex Ultra or premium reactive German and Swedish steels are susceptible to rust if not properly cared for. Keep the knife dry between uses and when storing for longer periods, wiping the blade with Tsubaki oil or another food-safe oil is a wise choice. A patina can be a beautiful personal feature on your knife and helps to stop rust forming.
Handle Care: For non-stabilised wooden handles, apply Tsubaki oil or another food-safe oil from time to time. Food-safe wax can be applied to both stabilised and non-stabilised wooden handles. Never apply hot wax or oil as you risk warping or damaging the handle.
