Kamon X JustNoble Karelian Curly Birch Mise-En-Place Set

The perfect centerpiece for your kitchen, this incredible 5-piece set includes hand-lathed salt and pepper mills, an XL cutting board (580x400x45mm), and a built-in knife magnet suitable for three knives. Completing the set is a Kamon Knives High Chef in Benjamin’s signature blackout “Denty” textured finish.

The cutting board, mills, and magnet are made of stunning end grain Karelian curly birch with bog oak inlays and hand-lathed bronze feet. Benjamin created a matching Rokkaku Hanmaru handle in stabilized X-cut Karelian curly birch with bog oak spacer and bronze torpedo end caps. The wood for the handle is from the same piece as the cutting board, mills, and magnet.

The NobleMills feature premium Swiss-made mechanisms and are treated with a special titanium coating to ensure longevity. The specially designed pepper mills cut, rather than grind, the pepper to ensure the flavors and aromas are not subdued in any way. While the salt is not cut like the pepper, it is ground to a very consistent grain size, and both mills are adjustable via a thumb screw in the base of the mill.

This set brings together two of Europe’s finest craftsmen to produce an undeniably stunning collection that will surely elevate your culinary experience. A mise-en-place cockpit for your kitchen, it includes everything needed to prepare and season your food in style.

Product Care:

Cleaning: Clean by hand with warm water. Avoid wetting the handle when possible.

Sharpening: We advise using whetstones to sharpen your knives and a honing rod or steel to maintain the burr between sharpening sessions.

Reactive Steels: Reactive steels like Aogami Super, Apex Ultra or one of the many premium reactive German and Swedish steels are susceptible to rust if not properly cared for. In this case we advise that you keep the knife dry between uses and when storing the knife for longer periods wiping the knife blade with Tsubaki oil or another food safe oil is a wise choice. This will not stop a patina forming on the blade, but it will stop rust. A patina can be a beautiful personal feature on your knife and helps to stop rust forming. So, dry your knife regularly between uses, store in a dry place and apply some Tsubaki oil from time to time when storing for long periods.

Handle Care: If you have a knife with a non-stabilised wooden handle, you can apply Tsubaki oil or another food safe oil to your handle from time to time. Food safe wax can be applied to both stabilised and no-stabilised wooden handles. Never apply hot wax or oil as you risk warping or damaging the handle.
