There’s an energy that comes from artistic inspiration, it drives an artist, not only to create something unique, but to deliver something perfect. Inspiration is soul nourishing for artisans like Jim Dobbler and it often results in absolutely, beautiful works of craftsmanship.

Having grown up with carpenters, metal fabricators and builders throughout his family Jim had no shortage of opportunities when it came to working with tools, but in the end, it was the digital arts that captured Jim’s attention. Life, however, has a certain irony to it and later in life Jim was drawn back to the tools and began creating functional art in the form of knives and kitchen tools. At first as a hobby and now as a professional artist, Jim’s work can be found in some of the top boutiques around the world, not to mention the hands of hundreds of happy cooks.
