A compact and versatile 195mm Gyuto from Germany based Derrick Wulf. This beautiful mono steel Gyuto features a low radius edge profile, a subtle taper and wide convex bevels. Forged in Apex Ultra, a steel specifically developed for culinary knives, this knife will take an exceptionally sharp edge and features very good edge retention. The knife is perfect as a utility knife for simple meal prep or as an elegant table knife, set alongside snacks and drinks when entertaining.
The mono steel blade features an elegant, yet simple satin finish and the carbon steel will develop a character of its own over time as the patina forms on the blade. A lovely heirloom piece to be passed on for generations. The knife is completed with a Derrick Wulf signature handle in stabilised and roasted German ash, a naturally tough and dense timber that features a beautiful figure.
Derrick is an exceptionally talented bladesmith with unique and iconic design style. His knives feature the highest standard of fit and finish and with proper care will serve you well for generations.

Product Care
Product Care
Cleaning: Clean by hand with warm water. Avoid wetting the handle when possible.
Sharpening: We advise using whetstones to sharpen your knives and a honing rod or steel to maintain the burr between sharpening sessions.
Reactive Steels: Reactive steels like Aogami Super, Apex Ultra or premium reactive German and Swedish steels are susceptible to rust if not properly cared for. Keep the knife dry between uses and when storing for longer periods, wiping the blade with Tsubaki oil or another food-safe oil is a wise choice. A patina can be a beautiful personal feature on your knife and helps to stop rust forming.
Handle Care: For non-stabilised wooden handles, apply Tsubaki oil or another food-safe oil from time to time. Food-safe wax can be applied to both stabilised and non-stabilised wooden handles. Never apply hot wax or oil as you risk warping or damaging the handle.
