Karol Karyś has been quietly working away on improving the geometry of his knives and it shows. His knives have always had very good cutting performance and are generally a pleasure to use, but In this latest release we are starting to see more tapered geometry, finer more precise bevels, and exceptional edge profiles and balance. This Nakiri will balance perfectly on the makers maker, features a lovely sharp edge and lovely consistent convex bevels.

With in house forged 1.2419 core GoMai steel and a moody stabilised Maple Burl and Brass handle the knife is a tasteful, yet vibrant and contemporary piece. Naturally, you will still find signature brutalist inspired textural elements around the ricasso, bolster and butt of the handle.

Fit and finish is unquestionably of the highest standard with a made by karyś knife. This Nakiri features lovely textures that are beautiful to behold and yet there is no unsightly gaps all the surfaces are smooth to the touch, and the bolster features museum fit joinery.
