MCx · the lines

Four lines, in operation.

Each line is an ongoing collaboration with one or two makers. Releases come in batches. Waitlist first, then we invite in order.

How allocation works

Waitlist first. Always.

01

Join the line's list

Pick the line you want and join its waitlist with a few lines of detail about you, your budget, and the geometries you'd take.

02

We invite in order

When the next batch is ready, we work down the list. If a piece doesn't fit your budget or geometry, you stay in line for the next one.

03

If you accept the invitation, you confirm your place and pay in full. No deposits, no partial holds — we ship as soon as it's ready.

Four lines, four pairings.

MCx Hangler Forging

Line 04 · Edition 03

MCx Hangler

Tobias Hangler

A partnership built on friendship and curiosity. MCx Hangler began with one vision: bring two of Europe's most innovative steels together in a single knife — Apex Ultra, the carbon steel Tobias created with Marco Guldimann and Larrin Thomas, clad in Swedish Damasteel. It's a combination we keep returning to, edition after edition, each one refining the last and pushing the limits of what these two steels can become together. An evolving line, made in limited numbers — join the waitlist to secure a future allocation.

Two great steels, one relentless pursuit

MCx Johnsson × Krichbaum In design

Line 02 · Edition 02

MCx Johnsson × Krichbaum

Jonas Johnsson × Simon Krichbaum

Where old craft meets new metallurgy. Krichbaum × Johnsson came together organically — sparked by the kitchen knife community's love of our MCx work and a request for a piece built around Damasteel's Björkmans Twist. It's a collaboration of shared instinct: rare timbers, unique carbon and PM stainless steels, and clean, organic designs where natural texture and polished precision live side by side. The first release is a Björkmans Twist gyuto on a stacked birchbark and stainless takedown rokkaku hanmaru handle — rustic and refined in one. Made in limited numbers — join the waitlist to secure a future allocation.

Tradition and modern metallurgy, forged into one.

MCx Krichbaum Forging

Line 03 · Edition 05

MCx Krichbaum

Simon Krichbaum

Some knives you can feel were made by someone who loves the work. That's the MCx Krichbaum line. We've known Simon Krichbaum since he was an apprentice under Martin Huber, and the friendship is half the reason these knives exist — he's a big-hearted, endlessly creative maker with the rare discipline to match his ambition. His signature profile and geometry do the heavy lifting, ergonomics and performance already dialled in, premium steels as standard. So the fun part — the part we obsess over together — is the handle, the cladding, the finish. Simple, premium, pragmatic, and made for the pure joy of cooking. Released in limited numbers — join the waitlist to secure a future allocation.

Premium and pragmatic, made with heart.

MCx Oel × Kamon In design

Line 01 · Edition 03

MCx Oel × Kamon

Oliver Märtens × Benjamin Kamon

Performance first. Everything else follows. That's the agreement behind this line — a collaboration of three, built on a shared obsession with how a knife cuts and how it's made, where beauty matters but always comes second to performance and build quality. The precision of a Swiss watch, made to last generations. A takedown construction that disassembles in your hands, every part precise, nothing decorative for its own sake. This level of quality is rare, and we make it in limited editions only. New editions are released in limited numbers — join the waitlist to secure a future allocation.
