A very classy piece from Skye Eilers. A hidden tang, western style handle with some lovely curves and facettes, a Vtoku2 core clad in stainless steel and styled with a hammered texture, satin polished edge band and pitch-black forced patina. Skye does incredible work on his handles and this one is amazingly comfortable, and thoughtfully positioned in relation to the blade edge. The result, an incredible cutting action that is very satisfying.
Skye’s profiles and geometries feel surgical and nimble, these blades are incredible for the detail work that a professional would have produce during a busy service. By no means laser, but the low profile, pointed tips are maneuvered with ease and the edge geometry is a lovely thin and sharp convex perfect for slicing.
The rich dark brown of the African blackwood, classy, highly polished brass spacers paired with the contrasting textures, satin polished edge band and black patina of the blade all come together in what can only be described as beautiful. Another very nice piece from Skye Eilers, which leaves us hungry for more!

Product Care
Product Care
Cleaning: Clean by hand with warm water. Avoid wetting the handle when possible.
Sharpening: We advise using whetstones to sharpen your knives and a honing rod or steel to maintain the burr between sharpening sessions.
Reactive Steels: Reactive steels like Aogami Super, Apex Ultra or premium reactive German and Swedish steels are susceptible to rust if not properly cared for. Keep the knife dry between uses and when storing for longer periods, wiping the blade with Tsubaki oil or another food-safe oil is a wise choice. A patina can be a beautiful personal feature on your knife and helps to stop rust forming.
Handle Care: For non-stabilised wooden handles, apply Tsubaki oil or another food-safe oil from time to time. Food-safe wax can be applied to both stabilised and non-stabilised wooden handles. Never apply hot wax or oil as you risk warping or damaging the handle.
