Modern Cooking was established in 2014 to offer professional and home cooks access to a modern set of cooking resources. Ranging from recipes, ingredient information, and products, including modernist/molecular gastronomy cooking equipment, and advice. The Modern Cooking Magazine has been designed to provide professional and home cooks a resource for developing an efficient and socially responsible cooking style regardless of their proficiency in the kitchen. Our magazine contains articles and videos dedicated to learning traditional and modern cooking methods, smart guides to make cooking a more fun, efficient and enjoyable exercise and information about various ingredients, both modernist and traditional, covering their seasonality, preparation and usage. Every day we hear more and more about the damage that humanity has caused to the environment. The future of our planet is a key concern for most people and our future depends on us making changes to how we live and work that are more environmentally responsible. The produce that we cook with every day is often transported all over the world and in some cases produced using green houses and other artificially created environments. This process has a huge impact on the environment. What many people don’t understand is that many ingredients are grown throughout the year in their own local and by eating and cooking seasonally we are able to significantly reduce our own personal carbon foot print. What’s more these locally grown, seasonal ingredients are often fresher, more flavourful and better for our health.
