Hinoura Hamono

Based in Sanjo Niigata prefecture, Japan Hinoura Hamono is one of the most respected knife makers in Japan. Tsukasa Hinoura, the current head of the house is supported by his son Mutsumi. The father and son duo produce a range of different knives in premium steels and unique styles. Famous for ranges like the Rainbow Damascus and Ajikataya Kurouchi Tsuchimi the knives feature some of the highest quality forging and grind work of any smiths in Japan.

Mutsumi Hinoura is the forth generation to join the house, which is now over 100 years old.
