Warikomi is like a hybrid of Honyaki and SanMai. The core steel is placed into a U shaped piece of cladding material and then forge welded closed. This means that the super hard core does not actually reach the spine. The result is a more resilient spine and super sharp edge, as is the case with a Honyaki blade.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe bevels, spine and heel have all been polished and sharpened by \u003cspan\u003eTadataka-san, they feature the HADO classic wide flat bevels, round polished spine and facetted polished heel. Beautifully \u003c\/span\u003eexecuted, the result is a fantastic high performance kitchen knife.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAntoine, tasteful as always, gave these beautiful knives an octagonal ebony handle with heirloom fit \u003cspan\u003edistressed \u003c\/span\u003ebrass bolster and signature name plate.
