Gyuto 240mm Linear 1.2419 Micarta

Karol Karyś continues to evolve his brutalist inspired designs with this luxurious 1.2419 forged blade with micarta and copper facetted handle. The blade features a proven profile and geometry that is always a joy to use, but a new edition is the linear cross hatch texture and bushed finish. This new texture and finish gives the blade a rather polished feel, at least in comparison to Karol’s previous work which often featured more rustic forge scale educed textures.

The texture on the copper bolster and the butt of the micarta handle is reminiscent of the erosion that takes place by the sea or perhaps found on coral. A kind of beautiful, pitted texture. On the micarta the texture elements emerge from a luxurious matte texture that feels sensational in the hand and captures the light beautifully. 

These recent releases from Karol shows the almost endless capacity for creativity that this artisan blacksmith possesses.
