The deep etched Damascus twist from Milan Gravier is one of the most striking and beautifully finished knives to come out of the house of Gravier. A not often seen finish these days and one with a very rich heritage. Milan has given the style his own twist with a deep textured finish that is more reminiscent of a Mediterranean tempest with rough foam-covered waves than a tranquil flowing river.
The aggressive acid etching leaves the layered and twisted wrought iron and steel with a raw natural texture, which is comfortable and satisfying to grip in the hand. The bevels are finished on the best quality and finest Nakayama natural whetstones. The result is a contrast rich look filled with textured and silk smooth surfaces, light and dark colours, and an incredibly high-performance cutting edge.
Paired with a stunning olivewood handle that seems to almost grow out of the blade itself, the twisted Damascus and wood have an almost matching figure. The stunning olivewood give the knife a touch warmth and exceptional natural beauty.
