Santoku 180mm Silverline 1.2842

Carbon, nickel, carbon, black forced patina, and a striking, silvery lightning bolt. This high contrast, performance ground piece of steel extends from a beautiful, ergonomic, tapered rokaku hanmaru grip.

But I digress, the blade features a recognizable, Huber santoku profile. Along the edge you get a substantial flat section that extends about half the length of the blade before taking a more aggressive turn towards the tip. The profile feels fantastic as a chopper and perfect for push cutting. A stiff spine with consistent thickness gives the knife stability. The 1.2842 German tool steel is akin to O2, and it takes a fantastic edge.

Getting back to the handle, stabilised poplar burl. Tastefully dyed with dark grey, brown, black and red hues. Stainless inlays, carbon fibre and G10 complete a very nice piece from Martin Huber.
